Archie Comics Artist Tom Moore Dies, Age 86

Tom Moore, one of the artists behind the iconic Archie comic characters, has passed away at the age of 86. Moore was arguably responsible for giving the characters of Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, and the rest of the Riverdale gang the looks that have been the most prevalent and popular, as the artist on the strip from 1953 to 1988 with only a brief gap in the ’60s. He also was an illustrator on Mighty Mouse and Underdog.

Yep. My sister and I loved Archie comics. I was never crazy about superhero comics. I was an Archie, Richie Rich (he was so freaking rich), Peanuts, etc., kind of guy.
