There are some odd things going on with the 6th gen lineup. There are processors that were announced, that were not available at launch. I haven't heard if they have showed up in the retail channel yet. Mobile graphics will eventually get the biggest boost along with a reduction in power use.

I expect Apple will announce a MacBook refresh featuring Skylake in October or November, or they will be behind Lenovo and Dell rolling out products with Thundercrap 3 via a USB C port.
