One thing that hasn't gotten speedier: I've been syncing my apps to my new phone for the last 2 hours.

Also, while my ~500 apps are copying, I'm watching the icons appear on the home screen preview in iTunes... without the hundred or so folders they were previously sorted into.

I hope the folders are restored.

No issues with folders here- everything was put back in the right locations.

It definitely feels heavier and much faster.

Have to get used to 3D Touch, but is slick.

After the restore, it reported that it was unsuccessful because the backup was "corrupt or not compatible." I tried again with the same result.

All of my apps made it, but almost none of my files or settings.

Used Time Machine to drop the Backups folder to the state it was in 3 weeks ago and trying again. Same thing.

Not sure what the problem is. Shouldn't be any big deal jumping from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6. Maybe Apple is punishing jailbreakers. Lucky I thought to back up my pics separately, and a lot of my most important stuff can be synced back via Dropbox.

Gonna be reorganizing the home screen and tweaking settings for weeks.

Leaders to those who already received their new iPhones!

I'll be waiting to hear what you are discovering about the new model.

I ordered the 64GB version, thinking that would cover my needs. This was based on using a 32GB micro-SD card in my Note 3. I'm noticing the 128GB versions that were mentioned.

Do you think that 64GB will "typically" be enough?

Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, get your keyboards cleaned and ready, and find those reading glasses. The conversation is just warming up!

It'll be enough for me. My other phones were 16gb and it wasn't until this last year that I had to start managing what was on my phone.

Thanks Pam.

I wasn't sure, since I've always had the"luxury" of adding memory to my android phones.

...Do you think that 64GB will "typically" be enough?

Here's an interesting problem: The fingerprint reader is so fast on my new 6S (way faster than on the iPhone 6) that it unlocks immediately as I press the home button to wake the device. I'd prefer it to have a brief delay in case I'm just checking my notifications or disabling Bluetooth.

64GB... Hmm. My 64GB iPhone 5 was full and I've quickly filled up my new 128GB iPhone 6. Hard to balance apps and music properly.

For most people, I'm sure that 64GB will be overkill.

space-time, I don't know why you have been targeting me with sarcasm. I find your recent attitude towards me out of character with our previous communications.

Perhaps, you should PM me and explain just what is bothering you. In this case, why is my inquiry about memory size for the iPhone that I just ordered, a problem for you? Can anyone else explain why my question is in anyway out of line?

I've said it before and I will say it again, I have great affection for my fellow members here on the forum. I can't remember ever being ungracious or impatient with anyone, so I am puzzled when my post produces an unkind or impatient response.

I am aware that in some areas my lack of expertise has made it difficult for me to "get" the information that a more expert member has posted.

I hate to say this, but when I have asked a question I have no expectation that I will get an answer. When I do get an answer, I always appreciate the time that someone took to respond and I say so.

I have always approached the questions that others post with the same willingness to stay with it as I have received from my friends on the forum, provided that I have the necessary knowledge, of course.

It seems obvious that the sarcasm that I have received recently has been based on something that occurred in the past. At times, I've had difficulty "absorbing" the information that I was given about a technical issue. Is that an understandable reason for someone to attack me?

Certainly, this hasn't been unique to me. So, please explain why anyone would make a big thing out of it, now?

GeneL, it bothers me a lot when I know you have more important issues to deal with (your sleep issues, your recent heart problems) and you comsume your energy with these insignificant things.

For example: 2012 Mini, even a dual core model, will do more than you need. Yet, you spend your time (and eventually money) looking for the server model, quad core, i7.

iPhone: 64 will be plenty, yet you now start a poll (and I have to guess you have serious buyers remorse and are considering upgrading to the 128, otherwise why would you ask this in 2 separate threads?) and waster your energy considering if you should upgrade to 128.

Bottom line: I will not put you on the ignore list, you didn't offend me in any way, and I hope you will find the power within yourself to accept that 64 GB is plenty for you, and even a dual core Mini is plenty for you.

Enjoy life and enjoy what you have. don't waste your energy dreaming of what you should have bought instead.

I accept that you are sincere in your concern for me, but you have wildly misjudged the situation.

I have wanted to switch to a Mini for a long time, as you know, since we corresponded about the Mini that you had for sale. Yes, my money is tight, but not as bad as you seem to be projecting. As opposed to consuming my energy, my interest in acquiring a Mini and ordering an iPhone have been inspiring. I love the challenge of finding a way to make "my dreams" come true.

Again, you misread my question about the iPhone. I never considered 128GB. That would have been much too expensive. I was just looking to verify that 64GB was the right choice for my needs. I have no remorse about switching to an iPhone and can't get why you would think that??? I have clearly expressed my excitement about having FaceTalk, so that I will be able to use it to chat with my grandkids.

You don't seem to realize that asking questions is part of my "process" to make my best choices. There's nothing about my inquiries that should be taken as a waste of time and energy.

I'm afraid, my friend, that you have over identified with what you projected, rather than with my true situation, condition and desires. I would be far worse off, both physically and financially, if I didn't post the questions that you seem to have taken issue with.

Please, see that there is no problem where you have assumed there was and all will be fine between us.

Great! Then enjoy the 64, post if you have question, and BTW, it's talled FaceTime, not FaceTalk, but yes, it is cool.
