Oakland. The best part. It wettened me. I melted.

Complete with electrical storm this morning. Rare for us. Radar shows some pretty good totals South of San Jose.

It was raining cats and dogs early this morning here. Also lots of thunder and lightning last night for about three hours. One close strike shut down my computer. My power didn't go off but my iMac went black. I've never seen that before. I rebooted, then had no internet until I restarted the modem.

There was more thunder than rain, unfortunately.

But if this happened every day for a few months, we would be approaching good times.

I don't think that aggregate would topple trees and hillsides, but I don't know who much rainfall we got to day.

The neighbors have been back outside doing some construction.

:-)

I looked the phase up and this explanation seems to make as much sense as any:

The phrase is supposed to have originated in England in the 17th century when city streets were filthy and heavy rain would occasionally carry along dead animals.

Raining cats and dogs

Oh, I had my heart set on a live one tongue smiley

But that sounds like a very reasonable origin story. I'll remember that. I really like the history of sayings or phrases.
