Watching "Blazing Saddles"... Love that movie...

Talk about a movie that would have the writers, producers, actors, director, and poor SOB running the camera SHOT by the second day of filming....

Really, no one since Mel Brooks has been able to get away with making a comedy that is so blatantly offensive to so many...

But it's damn funny...Mel Brooks has a way of offending everyone equally, rather than picking on anyone in particular disproportionately.

One of my all-time favorites. Too bad it gets sanitized on TV. In NYC, I remember at least one local station removing Lily's last name. I saw it again out at my parents;' home in the heatland, and they cut out the farts but left Schtupp in there. Tells you something about the local demographics.

Made in a different time; when everything didn't have to be Politically Correct.

him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his

Things don't have to be politically correct. Most people just don't have the balls to not be.

USA did some strange edits..
the "N" word was not removed.

but when Gene approaches the @#$%& guys - "Hey Boys, looks what I got hea" - "Yea, wheres the white women at" -- that was cut out.

punching the horse during the #6 round up was cut out.

Singing in the church where they decide to write the gov. for a new sheriff - "@#$%&" was edited over with a bad chord on the organ.

and a few others I cant remember right now.

odd cuts

I have the Aniv. DVD now
