Seriously looks like something that should be on top of a B-17.

matt... yeah... if the canopy had good optical quality, there would be a real pull for pro photographers...

I worked for the company that made optics for some of the airborne observatories the USAF flies (Codename Cobra Ball. Yes. really. ). A couple of the techs would go on flights with them. They said that the stars at 45,000 feet were.. amazing.

Get rid of the arm-rest, make 'em recline flat, and have the flight crew look the other way for 20 minutes... grinning smiley

An aerodynamic "teardrop" shape will help reduce the drag factor.

Hopefully only the people who get these seats are paying the fuel penalty.

Personally, I would rather have the ability to look down. Clouds and sky would become a bit boring.

Don't get cocky, kid!

If it were a turret, it would be trés cool.

Oh, I *love* looking out the window at night, seeing stars above and clouds below.

That seat is probably pricy and maybe you can't buy it for the entire flight, but kicking back and watching the night sky... I'd love that.

I was on a British Airways 777 to London, and they had a forward/downward video camera that was on the in-flight entertainment screen as an option. Was fun to watch as we came to England and dropped below the clouds.
