Knew the first episode was available, but when I saw this post (thanks!) I went back and watched the next three. I did get confused on what was going on during part of ep.3 but that might have been more my fault than the story line. Will see if I can watch that episode again today. Was really surprised that SyFy let me watch all 4 without signing in.

Watched the first two eps of Childhood's End as well. Read the book way back in jr. high/high school so I don't remember the plot as much - though seeing the Overlord Supervisor did jog my memory a little.

The Expanse has nice sets and FX, but is otherwise forgettable.

They're relying upon sterotypes instead of plot and characterization. Not impressed by the acting or dialog. Literally "forgettable." As in 10 minutes after watching an episode I have to work to remember anything that occurred in it and 3 episodes in I have yet to recall any characters' names. Nothing to get a viewer invested in anything on the screen.

Could be good. Needs a pro to go over the script and a decent director. Maybe they'll have a mid-season turnaround.

Don't know about the content, but the posters are certainly old-timey Science Fiction.
