OK....I've had it with iTunes and I need help

At home, I'm on OS X, but It work I'm on Windoze.

My 64 GB iPhone 6 was configured on my iMac and is up to date, and so is my iTunes both at home and at work. I load whatever songs, movies and photos while connected to my iMac and then connect my iPhone to my PC so I don't drain my charge during the day.

I launch iTunes on my PC and voila my iphone appears, I select it and play my songs all day. (I was told that I could listen to my music at a reasonable level winking smiley )

Anyway, my first world problem is that I can't find a way to sort the music on my iphone when viewed from iTunes. I ( I think I might have noticed this on my Mac at home as well, but I'm not sure)

Am I missing something or has this ability also been removed from iTunes ? I KNOW it used to work before

I've got 12.2.2.25 (geez what a lot of numbers) on my mac mini and when the My Music window is open the options are at the top of the list. Click on one to highlight it. Or go to view and choose options.
Maybe something is lost going to a PC and you don't get these?

1) Cool! I didn't realize that I could play the contents of my phone through iTunes on my computer. That just made iTunes a little less of a fustercluck to work with.

2) Your iOS device can only sync with one computer I believe so that you don't make multiple copies of your music on multiple machines (Verdammt DRM!)

Glad you were able to learn something. :-)

I'm not trying to sync with my PC, just trying to play some songs (that are on my iphone) in a certain order when it is connected to my windows PC and using the itunes on said PC

Like I said I know I used to do this with some previous itunes version. Just not sure which one

oh well

I found that I could create a playlist on the phone from within iTunes. Would that do what you need? I haven't actually done it, but it looked like it was an option.

Thanks for the suggestion, but when my iphone is selected, I cannot create any playlist on it while using the itunes on my PC

I've been silently agreeing with people angry villagers smiley for the past few versions......iTunes is getting worse. Both on when running on a computer and on IOS. I'm in it too deep to use something else angry smiley

I would get a set of nice speakers to plug your phone into during the day - you can use the computer to charge your phone, or also have a second USB charger.

Just use a decent music app like Ecoute, and you will be fine.
