laptop screen protector pad thingy...

With my G4TiBook, I've got a pad that goes over the keyboard to protect the screen from getting hand oils on the screen. It is cloth on one side and fake leather on the other (keyboard side). It just sits there while the computer is closed, and then I store it while it's open. It is from Powerbookresq.com. I have my new MBP coming on Tuesday (it's only 20 miles away but somehow it is still going to be here on Tues?). I'd like to get a pad for this laptop as well. However, powerbookresq doesn't seem to carry them any more. Anyone know where I might pick up something similar? I don't really want something that is "sticky" and attaches to either the keyboard or screen.

Thanks guys, the RadTech is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's just like what I have now, but a little bigger. I ordered it!

That hard shell says "PC" IMO.

The RadTech rubber nubbins that prevent the screen from contacting the KB are effective w/my TiBook, and eliminate the need for a pad.

The Pawz rubber feet are also excellent as long as you're ordering from RadTech... the Pawz DO, however wear out and fall off eventually... wonder if I could get them to comp me a set?

As a bonus the Radtech Screensavrz serves as a great screen cleaner as well. Our Lombard had terrible marks on it and with a little rubbing using the Sceensavrz, the screen looks great now.

I have the OWC leather 'screen protector for G4' with my 17" MBP...works great. So great that I purchased a second one for a 17" Dell XPS.

For a MacBook that I have, I do have the MarWare one that works fine. I originally bought it was it appeared to be a full cover (like the OWC one)...but wasn't after I opened it. It also came with a 'palm rest' protector/ahesive that went around the touchpad...but I finally gave that up and now only use the keyboard protector. Works okay....but the OWC leather ones are very nice.

Another alternative is a microfiber cloth. I've been using them for years on my Lombards and iBooks. Only $2 each and they protect the screen and the plastics. No stress on the hinges or latch either.
