Snagged another Nikkor 80-200!

Just came back from Philly (a short drive from NYC). A nikkor 80-200 f2.8 2 ring zoom (non-AFS) for $450. Crystal clear and focuses faster than the push-pull.

I'm stoked. Now how do I sell the push-pull lens?

2 reasons the ring zoom is better than the push pull version. First it has a tripod mount, second is the ring zoom is more stable than pushing and pulling toward or away from your face.

Have fun, it is a great lens.

I just noticed mine is breaking. The AF lock ring is cracked. I've been very easy with it too. It looks like there's a small screw which holds it in place. The ring is cracked right next to it. Looks like the screw pulls it in too far.

This one looks perfect...the pictures are as good as my old one. The AF is way faster. On my older one, the AF would cluck cluck along. This one would zip, zip when panning. Truth be told, the older one is a great lens...but this newer one is lighter and works well.

Since I saw it and bought it via craiglist, I may list my older one with them as well. There's something nice about selling locally...ebay is just too much risk (for my tolerance at least) on the selling side.
