I am about to get a new phone, and I am not sure if SE or 6S, both are interesting, I think I like the smaller phone better. I am just fine with 5 that I have now.

My thoughts too. I have to spend some time with the wife's 6 to see if I like that size better. Bigger screen is nice but I like the way my 5S fits in my pocket, so SE might be my upgrade option.

My wife absolutely hates the 6 that she has. Too big! Does not fit in any of her pockets of her clothes (Its true - women's pockets are about 1/3 the size of mens pockets - not sure why that is...) She is lamenting the loss of her iPhone 4S. I guess she is now going to get the "upgrade" to the SE when we can afford it.

Myself? I'm looking forward to the 6S!

I went from a 4S to a 6S last Fall. Had I known the SE would be announced, I would have waited. I really liked the form factor of the 4S, the 6S is just a little too big. It's beautiful and fast and all of that, so I like it, but I prefer the smaller size. If I was getting a new phone now, I'd be getting the SE.

I agree. I have an iphone 5 now and do appreciate how easy it is to carry around. Not sure I need to upgrade, but when I do choosing the best size is going to be hard.

I'm really excited and happy about it. I haven't wanted a larger iPhone so this is perfect for me when I'm ready to give up the 4s, presumably soon now that this has happened.

When I went from the 4s to the 6, I could actually use the web browser for browsing the web. There was just enough real estate to work with. I'll stay with the big, but not huge phone.

But choice is really good. I was shocked when the 6 came out in huge and huger sizes only.

I have a 4s, would like a slightly larger screen, but the 4.7 inch 6s seems a bit too large for my purposes.

I'm happy the smaller size is available to all the folks that want it. Myself, I prefer my 6S+ after using an iPhone 3GS for nearly seven years. The larger screen is so much better for my aging eyes.

I went from a 4 to a flip phone to a 6s

although more screen real estate is nice for web sites like this one
I prefer the smaller 5 or 4 size, especially used for just voice and text and email.

we also have a 6s+ and I would have to borrow a purse or pocketbook to lug it around.
It is nice for someone else to carry around and borrow.
My original plan was to get a used 5s and maybe even use it mostly just for voice and text and kinda wish I had.
Still might. I just don't use that much data.

SE will be around for awhile.

I'm wondering whether the iPhone 7 is going to be a new product - stereo sound but not rca port. Apple may keep the 6S series around for all of the sales lost to the missing ports on the iP7

I like it. If/when I trade up, I will replace our 5S's with the SE.

I remember when the NUMBER was the case size. If the number changed, you needed to by a new case. SE has no NUMBER.
Aside from the above rant. I like the 5 size.

I just went from the 5 to a 6 and I like the screen size for my aging vision. Still need reading glasses though.

It would have been a tough decision between the 5se and the 6 for me. I paid $360 for a new 6 but I really like the way the 5 series is built. It just seems solid with nicer fitting parts.

I really like the SE, and it will very likely be my next 'Phone.

My previous 'Phone was a 4s and currently use a 5s. I spent part of the day today using my buddy's 6s, and I didn't like it. It was too big to fit in my pocket, even though it had a smallish case.

First, I much, much prefer the form factor (hah!) as well as the size, over the 6/6+ series. I like the flat edge over the rounded edges of the 6-series.

I like that is has basically the same camera as the 6s, does Live Photos, 4K video, and has the current CPU and Motion processor.

It will be nice having ApplePay in the 'Phone, though I will be more likely to have my Watch if I don't have the 'Phone with me, rather than the other way 'round. I use Hey, Siri… a lot too, so the Always Listen option will be handy.

The only negatives that come to mind are the lack of 3D Touch and 128G storage. I don't know how much RAM the SE has, but I hope it's more than the 5s. I'm not counting on it, though. Still, those are far from deal breakers.

It makes absolute sense and good business not to have introduced a 4" 6-series. Those were all about entering the "big" phone market. Introducing a smaller 6-series 'Phone would have only confused the choices and probably hurt the sales of the new 'Phones. Hanging back on, rather than hanging on to the 5 as a peer allowed Apple to assess the market for smaller 'Phone.

I'm guessing the SE will always trail behind the current "big" phones in CPU, GPU and Co-CPU. The 7-series will probably have A10 and M10 running gear. Maybe that's necessary to drive a larger screen. Maybe not.

Whatever, I'm very ok with the SE.

We've had some good discussions here the past several months/year about what came to fruition as the SE. I'm a big fan of this and frankly it should've come out 2 years ago but whatevs. If Tim, Jony and co would just frequent this forum, they'd enjoy much more success, earlier. HA.

When I upgrade from my 5s 64, it will be SE all the way.
