Need help now! keynote to powerpoint disaster deadline looms

Ok, I did a presentation in Keynote and exported to powerpoint, most went well, fixed the little things but

when i gave it to the boss who is using and old pc it looked like crap since he did not have the fonts loaded on his machine

it was bad and now i am scrambling to find a fix before 11:30 when this thing is needed.

any ideas? Their set up for the projector is so archaic using my mac in there does not seem to be an option and i am not sure i have time to argue with them on that.

is there a way to embed fonts in the powerpoint or a workaround? i tried export to pdf from powerpoint and that was a disaster

thanks in advance

The quicktime solution would likely work. Please don't forget the opportunity after the presentation. Show the boss what it looked like in Keynote on a Mac so they know what they are missing.

[portableapps.com]

Install Portable Open Office on a USB drive and try that. Sometimes Open Office work better than PowerPoint.

Why not install the missing fonts on his system?

You can export to QT as mentioned above.

You could take screenshots of the presentation as JPGs and just insert the images into a new version's slides.

This way you still get your look and feel (obviously no transitions - unless you screen capture the slides and export as avi or windows media).

This is why I mentioned it is usually better to just stay with PPT on PC for these guys the other day:

What about printing the presentation from the Mac to a .pdf and then importing the .pdf images into Powerpoint on a PC. Then fit each page of the .pdf to a slide in Powerpoint.

You could probably do the whole thing in Keynote and then export that to Powerpoint and the pages would come agross as graphics.

Don't ask who the bell's for, dude. It's you.

I'm seriously curious about the simple approach of copying the missing fonts to his system.

our pc tech guys would not allow it and the boss thinks they are geek gods so no go on moving the fonts.

Does anyone know if any Mac version of Powerpoint will embed fonts yet? I seriously hate that program, but it looks as if switching to Keynote isn't an option if it doesn't save to a Powerpoint format.
