BSG question

I finally had a chance to watch last week's BSG. So is the virus still a threat for the Cylons? If they don't have the antibodies to fight it can't the doc manufacture more of it?

Yes.

Please put SPOILER in your subject line.

"Good heavens, Miss Sakamoto! You're beautiful!"
"If we dig precious things from the land, we will invite disaster."
"Near the day of Purification, there will be cobwebs spun back and forth in the sky."
"A container of ashes might one day be thrown from the sky, which could burn the land and boil the oceans."

Not much more. Remember there is a "EM" (electromagnetic?, I'll have to watch the show to get the right buzz word) component too. Therefore, all they need to do is execute a infected Cylon near a Resurection Ship to spread it, per Appolo's original plan.

Spill it Larry.

On a another note; I just watched "33" again and after all this time, I just caught a continuity error I've never noticed before. When Duella is reporting the absence of the Olympic Carrier, her headset boom is shifting from one side of her head to the other from shot to shot. Kinda makes me feel old and slow to miss stuff like that. Doh!, I am!

It was a dumb episode if you ask me. First of all, I have a hard time believing Adama (or anybody else) would actually flinch at eliminating a bunch of whatever-they-ares that, er, deliberately wiped out 99.999% of the human race. Secondly, even if you take that as credible, all Adama had to do was send out a transmission to the Cylons that went something like this: "I ever so much as smell one of you toasters anywhere near us or Earth, I'll jump in, shoot these hostages, and wipe all of you out. So scram!"

I love the show, but that was a really weak one. Not unlike a particularly bad, preachy Star Trek episode.

In the BSG world, they are trying to be better humans, and teach a better way, I see it isn't working.

We have seen Adama's position on the Cylons soften, mainly due to his relationship with the Boomer/Sharon/Athena model. I think this will be explored in future episodes because I think it will get him in trouble in some fashion.

It wasn't the strongest episode but as it is, it does some stage setting which even the weakest episodes of BSG will do.

There was a lot in this episode that wasn't thought through particularly well. It was way too easy for Helo to kill the Cylons.

However, the torture scenes with Balthar and Fantasy Six were smokin'.

I also wonder why nobody asks the Cylons just what the frack they want, anyway. Honestly, Sharon/Athena would be spending an eternity being debriefed, yet it seems nobody has had much interest in picking her brains. That makes no sense at all.

They have asked in past episodes with Dean Stockwell.
Cylon religion is real to them, not just a concept as human religion is.
Their soul is immortal, and been proven so. Also, they have met their creator, and we have been proven lacking on all counts, physical, intelligence, and morals.
Also, not all Cylons know everything.
They are compartmentalized.
