So, there's an item closing on eBay in 15 hours, paypal only (I double checked).
I quit paypal years ago-- I don't want some faceless entity anywhere near my bank account.
It's also great being able to completely ignore all the fake paypal spam.
But I need this item.
So, I can pay with a credit card, right? And then disconnect completely from paypal?
Or is there more to it? What risk is there to me with a credit card?

Likely - though you'll need a different email address than that you used previously.

You should probably get cracking on it now, as you might have to jump through some hoops to get it up and running by tonight. That is, if you want to pay for it tonight (which might be a requirement per the auction).

Seller said postal money order OK. . . auction does say credit card via paypal though.
But still-- it wouldn't take more than a day or two to get confirmed or whatever, right?
Not long enough for a seller to be pissed, anyways . . .?
