Applescript for Changing to-From Upper and Lower-case?

Doug's Applescript has something for use in iTunes, but is there an Applescript or Automator thingy that will allow you, in any program, to change text to proper capitalization by simply highlighting the text in question and having it convert on the fly?

Prior to El Capitan, this used to be something already available under Services in the Finder window. That no longer seems to exist unless I have a bad installation.

TextWrangler is free, and probably works under El Capitan - although I don't have El Capitan to test it. What you want to do is under Text/Change Case.

I would guess there's a lot of ways to do this. LyleH [www.barebones.com]

And this discusses compatibility with different OSX versions.

Yes, there is and it's easy to create yourself using Automator but I don't think you need to do even that. Check this instead:

Article Accelerator,

That used to be there but is not for me now in El Capitan. Weird.

Article Accelerator,

I have Pictures, Messaging, Development, Files and Folders, Searching, Text, Internet and General, and in none of those can I find the boxes to check for Initial Caps of Sentences or Words or Lower Case, Upper Case, etc.

I don't see those options in my Prefs either (10.11.4)

There was an app that supplied that service a few years back. Seems that the author stopped distributing it a few years ago and his site is down.

So... AppleScript:

All,

Solution found. I received a PM from a person and they said to go here:

and download the freeware called WordService

When you do that it automatically installs into the Services menu on OS 10.11.5 and you can select a plethora of things (primarily for me reformat, lowercase, initial caps of sentence, initial caps of words, all caps, etc).

Yes, I think mine is there because I installed Word Service from Devon.
