Seattle airport security

I was told to arrive two hours early due to the delays from TSA. Arrived at airport and got into a HUGE line for security. The line went very quickly though. Shoes stayed on, electronic remained in bags, there were no bins to put belongings in. Sailed through very quickly. It was a joy but I did wonder about the quality of the screening.

TSA does little to support actual security. They ar there to attempt to make people feel safe about flying.

Sounds like you got sent to the TSA PreCheck line. Look at your boarding pass to see if you can find "TSA PRE" written on it somewhere.

I absolutely feel safer about flying with the TSA on duty! After standing in line for so long I'm too tired to think about any tom foolery on the plane and hopefully any terrorists that slip through will feel the same. Yessiree! We are lucky to be getting all the gubmint we're payin' for!

Remember the good old days when they just wanted to "Take this plane to Cuba!" and two parachutes?

They've made some improvements recently to security procedures at SeaTac and reports say that the lines are moving much faster now.

GGD, just regular line. We walked past TSA PRE as we didn't have it on our ticket.

Go to an airport at 3am, no TSA, very few people around. Walk in carrying anything you want, no one will stop you. Walk in, wait for things to open and planes to start leaving again.

Or go to Atlanta, after your TSA security check go to the Outback and order a steak. Comes with a knife to cut it.

If it keeps dirtbags like this off the plane it's worth every inconvenient minute waiting in line.

He is the one handling security at the airport, while you wait an hour in line......

And, yet, there hasn't been another 9/11, another successful hijacking nor downing of an American based plane out of an American airport in the past 15 years.

They added a 9th dog recently, and 2 more from the next graduating class are promised as well, assuming those 2 picked actually graduate.

Pocket knives are allowed to be carried on again. Unless they changed their minds ...again.

Pocket knives do not appear to be allowed according to their website, only plastic or round bladed butter knives.

Looks like they planned to allow them in 2013 but then changed their mind before implementing the change.

As long as he's busy he's not getting on a plane !

That was a proposed change, and it lasted about three days before it was rescinded... If it's sharp, and on your or your carry on, you end up in the "little room for a little talk", and probably miss your flight.
