It won't wake the iPhone if there is any fabric between your finger and the "button." Won't work with gloves etc at all.

So you have to wake the phone using the side button.

Else, I like the new Shiny..

I'm still trying to understand the point of seeing a text message Notification appear on the sleeping phone's screen, yet swiping it never takes me to the message. Anymore.

In the old days (last week) I'd then touch the Home button and be take on to the text. Today (iOS10) I get taken to a Notifications summary thing instead. When I unlock, I see a discreet "unlocked" verbiage at top of screen, which hasn't changed. Causing me to additionally press the iMessages icon there, before I can read the text.

AND THAT'S WILDLY REDUNDANT BEHAVIOR.

I'm convinced Cook never receives texts. 'Cause this is just effing stupid.

uses 3D touch. press and hold displays the text and the ability to respond. that being said, i'm still trying to figure out the quickest/easier way to get rid of some notifications. swiping now takes me to the camera or the notifications big screen. sometimes one finger press and swipe brings up a clear button and sometimes it doesn't.
