Watched Barney Miller religiously.

Also watch Firefly.

Never made the connection.

Probably has something to do with the 30 or so years in between.

Too bad. I always liked his character on Barney Miller. Seventy-one is so young! I would have thought he'd have been a lot older by now, though, actually!

He always seemed immensely likable, whether on Barney Miller, The New Odd Couple (1980's), Firefly, or playing bit roles. 71 is too young.
Rest in Peace, Ron.

I remember his character on Barney Miller as being something of a dandy and a fussbudget. Nevertheless, a good actor. 2016 remains unsated.

It is what it is.

Great character on a great program. RIP sir

A detective friend once told me it was the most realistic cop show to ever air.

One of my all-time favorite shows, and his was a great character. Although I do remember him smoking like a chimney on that show. RIP, Mr Glass.

Interesting that his agent's name was Leavett. I know it's spelled differently, but I wonder if Ron called him "Li'l Levitt" as he did the annoying patrolman on Barney Miller. smiling smiley

He's starring in a kinda silly feel good movie on the UP channel which the advertised during the "Gilmore Girls" marathon.

He was a good-looking 71 years old. Sorry he had to go so early. That's young to me.

R.I.P.

As others have said, he was great in Barney Miller, as well as his other roles through the years.

71! That's just too young to check out! Thanks for all the great entertainment, Ron.

Yup, or when Mr Kopechne thought he was a werewolf, or Nick made the fish head soup in the coffee pot.
