My trusty, got 'em almost 30 years ago now, super warm, super heavy, wear around the house like slippers, keep my feet warm, super-thick and heavy, wool socks are starting to fall apart...

So, I sez to myself, "Self, I'll bet Amazon has wool socks!". I search for "Wool Socks"... I thought I broke Amazon - eleventy gazillion socks!
I narrow it down by searching for "100% wool socks"... and I get wool socks with 65% wool...
My brain hurts!

I try Google... same sort of run-around. Too light, not wool, not what I'm looking for...

Anyone have a suggestion of where to look for what I'm looking for? (online, that is... ).
Hands-on, uh, "Toes-On" reviews appreciated!

Just want to be able to kick back, with a fire in the fireplace, with a pair of slipper-equivalent (since I hate slippers... I want the toe-freedom of my fuzzy, heavy, wool socks!).

Wish I'd have bought two pairs back in the 90's!

Do you just want socks or slipper socks? Have you looked at LL Beans site yet?

Darn Tough Vermont, full cushion boot socks. That's what I wear in the woods to keep my tootsies warm and foot cushioned in my hiking boots.

My go-to would be DuluthTrading Company, but alas, theirs aren't 100% wool.

But I bought a pair a couple of years ago and I'm rather shocked - they are still going strong after a couple of years and a few hundred miles. I have been having the same problem with Amazon lately.

Thanks for the Darn Tough recommendations. They look interesting.

On a slight tangent, I have been lamenting the heels wearing out on all the cheap socks I have and thinking I need to find something more durable. But then I was in a store recently and realized the non-sale price of a Hanes 12-pack is $12.99 and most packages are actually bonus 14-packs for the same price. So I decided for every day use I can handle less than $1 a pair and so what if they wear out.
