Sipping Tequila?

Any recommendations for a sipping tequila? I'm talking straight or on the rocks, like a good Scotch. Not shots.

Two recommendations I've received:

El Jimenez

Antigua Cruz

Don't ask who the bell's for, dude. It's you.

and the great thing about El Tesoro is that the parent company is Jim Beam, whose parent is Fortune Brands, what also owns ACCO what owns Kensington.

Got here too late - my brands have been named.

Herradura
Patron
Don Julio

There are many many others. If you're on a more limited budget, Sauza Hornitos is not bad at all.

Another vote(s) for Herradura and Patron!

We must train our minds to desire what the situation demands.

We have a new Super Mega Grocery store in the area called Woodman's (North Aurora, IL). It is about twice the size of a standard grocery store and has everything (I mean everything). They have like 37 varieties of Mac & Cheese!

I was there the other day with my 3yo and overheard on the PA system that they were having a Tequila sampling in the liquor department. I didn't just crawl out from a rock, but I have never heard of booze sampling at a grocery store. Hell, I have made lunch of it a few times at our local Costco on a Saturday.

I thought about checking in out, but I figured that might be a tough one to explain to the wife when I came home shnockered and smelling of tequila! If I didn't have my daughter, might have made an afternoon of it there!

As much as I love tequila, it's become a huge fad, one which I hope fades soon. Not likely, I know. It's putting huge pressure on the agave growers and small family-run distilleries are being snapped up by huge beverage conglomerates like Seagram's.
