Why did the giant in the room have the smallest booth?

At Macworld Expo, a massive and successful software company, with a brand spanking new mac software release which earned them a best in show award was stuck waaaaay over in the back 40 of the exhibit floor, with a microscopic booth and only one rep (who couldn't answer any of the detailed technical questions about their featured product). Who was it?.....



















...Google! That's right, they were there with their new mac beta of google earth. It was the saddest debut I've ever seen.

I heard they paid for this company's booth, [www.sketchup.com] and had more of a presence there.

Yeah I noticed that too.

They were all the way in the back. No flash, no glitz, just a plain tiny booth, stock black & white sign.

I wanted to stop and see what they were actually pitching but it looked very uninviting.
