MR Forum Fit Club

To encourage fitness goals, share experiences, educate and uplift each other.

Busy week so I only got to the gym twice. Carb in take up this week so it was not the best of weeks.


Last week: 2 upper body workout, some walking.
This week: 2 upper body workouts, 1 hour elliptical.

Ran 36 km last week and did 43+/- km in a spin class Saturday.

Total of 284 km for the year. Still on track for a 1000-mile year if I keep up this pace, which is unlikely. Achilles tendons are telling me to cut back.

Hit a 2017 low again for weight at 188.8 lb...4.5 lbs above my record low in June 2016.

Read an article about training for a marathon. That's about as far as I need to go for now.

Will starting walking up the hill in the evening commute barring any rain/snow later in the week.

Drove up and down last week because was still pretty tired from the week of the flu (during vacation no less!) and the nasty cold I got after kicking the flu. Slept pretty good over the weekend and did short walks around the development.

Going skiing in two weeks again - hoping to get some time in!

Did some calisthenics at home for about 10 min at a time last week. That's about all I got. But it's something!

Did over 22,000 steps one day last week, while on vaca in Costa Rica.
We also went zip lining which was a workout of sorts. smiling smiley

I presume that the lassie in the gif is trying to roll from one tire to another. I cannot for the life of me figure out what good outcome would be possible doing that.

Despite the continuing inclement weather, I got in one walk and two bike rides. Can't wait for Spring to get here.

31.28 miles on the treadmill at a bit over two MPH, six miles walking outside (at 3.3 MPH) in our record warm weather for a total of 37.28 miles. I'm trying to average five miles per day six days a week. The current week I will probably be a bit short but over time I should hit my goal average. Weight holding steady.

Well, my body really started protesting today.

I was going to do an easy 5k on the treadmill because of the tendonitis. I was almost done when my knee started to hurt, but it came to a screeching halt when a blister on my right foot erupted in fiery pain.

I'll be sidelined for a while until this tendonitis subsides.

Spinning = indoor cycling, usually an instructor-led workout.
