if not, look here

This seems like an upgraded clone of those LaCrosse BC 900 or something similar, I can't recall the model number. I had one of those, at one point it overheated and melted a cell and itself, luckily I was home and unplugged it. I heard they fix the issues eventually. I would assume this is safe since it is a complete redesign and made under a different brand. If I didn't have enough chargers, I would definitely get this one.

EDIT: $3 more at bezos' shack

ooh, usb charging port is a nice touch. but my LaCrosse has been rock solid for 9 years now. no need to replace it.

Does it charge batteries in pairs or individually?
So many things use 3 x AA batteries... hard to properly match the drain level on the odd-ones out!

That's a great price for one of those.

I have a LaCrosse BC-700 that looks very similar, but lacks the 1000mA charging current setting and doesn't have a USB power port.

I love the "Refresh" feature. My "Recycle these broken rechargeable batteries" pile was reduced from 20 batteries down to just four! The charger paid for itself in this way.

The LaCrosse charges the cells individually, so you don't have to charge in pairs; I'd assume this charger does the same, since it has an individual LCD display for each cell.

That look like a great compact charger. I've got a larger one, more involved, but has been very stable for me:

However, it does not have a USB charger associated with it. You can charge an odd number of batteries with it.
