MRF'ers - I'm clueless - is this a real thing?

I came across it on Amazon while shopping for other things. It looks like a can of brown spray paint to quickly cover up different-colored hair roots.



I guess I assume it must be a real thing. Have I just never run across this before in my 50+ years on earth? Doesn't it spray your scalp brown too? Has it been around forever, or is this a recent innovation in quick-change hair-care?

(I'm just so out of touch these days!)

......used to be for men......the 'new' ones are for women who color their hair.....when roots start showing.....bettin' the updated version for women is probably improved since catering to women.....just like women's deodorant are better than men's......
