There's a good chance I might get one. What else will be new?

Aside from the "iPhone 8" and the "iPhone 7s" refresh, it is speculated Apple could launch a new model of the Apple TV with 4K and HDR capabilities during the event, as well as an update to the Apple Watch. It is also expected that Apple will use the event to advise of when macOS High Sierra, iOS 11, and updates to its tvOS and watchOS software will ship to the public.

I can guarantee, with 100% certainty, that I will not be buying anything from Apple on September 12. And unless something happens to my phone, I have no plans on buying anything from Apple in the foreseeable future.

I'm good for now... I'm gonna drag another year or two out of my iPhone 5S and get whatever seems best then.

My iPad, however, desperately needs replacing! Seriously considering an iPad Pro 10" (9.7", whatever they call it... the littler one).

My iPhone 6 is getting long-in-the-tooth... battery performance has begun to drop off significantly in the last 4-6 months.

I'll likely get an iPhone 8, but only if it's available in the regular, 'non-Plus' size. I don't want an ephing phablet!

I have an iphone 7 and got that in part because the rumor of a home button less iphone 8 is not appealing. Maybe having no button and no touch id will work, but I am happy to skip that for a few years and let is shake out.

I don't need a new appletv but am happy if they come out with a new one. my atv 4 is better than either of my rokus and so like for them to keep developing the product.

I am also happy with my apple watch 0. but I can see wanting a new one, particularly for GPS and better waterproofness. Free LTE would be great, but I suspect it won't be free each month.

But throw in a surprise new mini and I would buy that in Sept/Oct.

My iPhone will be paid off in Oct. I am going to relish the savings for about a year. Or longer. My version 1 watch is trucking along just fine.

Most likely zero, zilch, nada.

I recently bought an iPad Pro and a table saw so my budget is pretty well shot.

We'll need to see how well this phone stacks up when it actually gets into consumers' hands in quantities that allow us to collect some data. Right now, it seems like a series of compromises are being made to get an edge-to-edge OLED out the door by Q3. Rushing something to market never made a good recipe for success. For people who can throw hundred dollar bills around like they're one's, however, purchasing this first gen phone a no-brainer.

Probably getting one for me and one for my lovely wife who's 5S seems to have several hardware issues (I did replace the battery earlier this year, which helped but didn't fix many things).

She might go with a 6S, however - if the 8 is too large.

Me, too. A refurb 7 Plus should be the sweet spot. (Unless the 7S Plus is very close in price (but it won't be).
My guess is there will be an unusually large number of people upgrading to the 8. I'm hoping the 7 Plus prices will be lower than past phones in the same situation.

I'm hoping it will drop prices on the SE significantly. My 4S is starting to act up (just had to do the overheat, chill routine to get wifi back. That happens about every 6-8 weeks now.

so if anyone is going to be selling off a SE (with a decent battery), let me know.

Not sure why or how it would, kinda 2 totally different things.

Just because a new F150 comes out doesnt mean the Focus gets a price drop?

Maybe if the SE is updated it will...
