My time capsule is dying a slow death.
I use it for back up and wifi. it is in bridge mode connected to a fios router. The Fios router has weak wifi and cannot be moved from our garage
Suggestions for a replacement?

You could get a nice Portal wifi hub and plug in an inexpensive airport express plus an external hard drive. That's likely my future when my time capsule dies. I think I paid $30 for my airport express from eBay.

What makes you think it's slowly dying? (By the way, I suggest putting the FIOS router into bridge mode and using the Time Capsule for routing and WiFi access point.)

Airport utility keeps popping up giving over heating messages, Yes I cleaned it out. Yesterday airport utility started showing the time capsule was off line for up to 5 minutes before any of our lap tops could connect.
I do not think I can put the Fios router in bridge function. It connects to the fios box via coax. It manages a moca network for the tv services.

Mine was overheating. I turned it sideways and gave it plenty of air. Has worked much better.
