Upgrading a Cube (Larry?)

How tough is it for an experienced Mac guy like myself to install this [eshop.macsales.com] processor upgrade in my client's Cube? I've done many processor upgrades in the past since the PPC 7500 days- shoot, even my SE30 is hotrodded- but OWC's sales page says "Professional installation is highly recommended for Power Mac G4 Cube."

I'd just like to check out an installation guide before I recommend the purchase- Thanks!

Let me know how it comes out as far as the installation and performance. I'd like to boost mine one day.

We include a video with the Processor upgrades - but upgrading the Cube does take one comfortable opening er up. Very easy - but - can look intimidating.

The professional installation recommended is a standard disclaimer for stuff that's more than a simple, 5 minute install. smiling smiley

Cool, Larry, thanks. I've replaced hard drives in Pismos & PowerBooks, I don't think I'll have any problems!

I have two pismos, and they are the easiest systems to work on. I would not even know where to start on my 15" alum PB G4. Are those screws on the top? Not that I want to. When I want to work on a laptop, i buy a non-working pismo on ebay and get it running, usually after buying a PRAM battery from OWCLarry.

[www.ifixit.com] has a great library of take-apart instructions for all the laptops.
