" I bought this one a year ago and it's been great"

OK, I bought it more like 18 months ago, according to Amazon.
And yes, it's made in China. But it hasn't died yet.
It charges my iPhone 5s just fine, and charges my iPad slowly.

Our forum sponsor sells good ones (Newertech) that I have used for years. Get a two port model.

To piggyback on this I am looking for one with the built in voltmeter so I can keep tabs on my motorcycle charging system. Any recommendations?

no experience with this one, but it seems to do what you want and has good reviews. I don't think it has USB output though.

I needed some for very tight quarters (minimum extension out of lighter socket), so got these.

It's only been two months, but so far so good. They're so compact that you might be able to close your lighter's cap/lid over them when not in use.

I have a NewerTech one from our sponsors that's about 3 years old now, still going strong. 2.1 and 1.0 amp USB outputs.

Got this one because it glows, was kinda cheap (<$5 at the time) for a 2 X 2.4A charger, and it's just about two years w/o a hiccup. Decent quantity of good reviews, so took a chance.

But, I really dig red metal, so my fave was this one, with lots of great reviews, and it comes in other colors, too. The same company also has this model in red aluminum; it's their newer, upgrade version.

Since we recently got Qualcomm QC3 equipped phones, we're getting new QC3 chargers for the cars, so taking a new gamble now, too. For the most part, I look for a healthy percentage of good reviews on Amazon, especially for this kind of stuff where there are so many choices, and if there are products w/ hundreds, or thousands of good reviews, it makes my buying choice easier. Anker makes great stuff.

Made by Key. MFi certified I believe. Under $6 and I've used it for half a year 2.4A. Good quality cable also included.

Wife bought a Belkin with a white led ring, also 2.4A charger that included a USB lightning cable over a year ago. Still going strong.

I vote for Anker or Mpow. Both work well.

Definitely need USB. Something like this would be good if it had temp in F.
