......and reviews for Apple TV HD were good but the price is still way too high and the say only buy it if you don't already have one but not worth it to upgrade......

And the fact that Apple likely cannot make enough iPhoneX to compensate for the modest iP8 sales is also a consideration in the stock price.

add in profit taking from those who buy in and sell quickly.

I heard the same.

A watch that people claim is a failure because no one wants one. SO when the new one comes out and has an issue the stock tanks. Makes sense.

A phone that people don't buy so they can hold out for the more expensive one and the stock tanks. makes sense.

Time to buy AAPL!

I think you are correct about a large group of Mac users staying with Sierra (and perhaps iOS 10). My wife and I are keeping our Macs on Sierra, and our iDevices will go to iOS 11 only for the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature. We will use iTunes 12.7. Our phones are 6 & 6+, and iPad Air 2. When the phones/iPads break, they will be replaced with 7 or 8 units.

However, there are more younger folks that have not yet locked themselves into an OS (and set of apps), and companies will find ways to get the job done with newer OSes. The Mac "fan" base will adapt.

I think now is the time to buy AAPL.
