....'Wisdom of the Crowd'......CBS did not give it back nine order....and with the allegations against Piven.....

Wisdom of the Crowd Cancelled Amid Jeremy Piven Sexual Assault Scandal

.....CBS has shushed the Crowd: The network has opted to forego a back-nine order for Sunday night crime procedural Wisdom of the Crowd, essentially cancelling the freshman drama as the number of sexual assault allegations against star Jeremy Piven continues to climb.According to an insider, Wisdom producers were informed that no additional episodes will be ordered beyond the original 13 (all of which will air).

The decision comes just days after a fourth woman accused Piven of sexual assault. Actress Anastasia Taneie revealed to BuzzFeed that Piven groped her breast and genitals as he forcefully pushed her against a wall when she was working as an extra on Entourage.

On Oct. 30, former Playboy model Ariane Bellamar similarly accused Piven of cornering and groping her on the set of Entourage. In response, the actor issued a statement vehemently denying that the incident ever took place, while CBS asserted that it was looking into the allegations.

Then on Nov. 1, Longmire actress Cassidy Freeman responded to Piven’s denial of Bellamar’s claims via Instagram, alleging that “whether or not her accusations are true, the TRUTH is I know you. I know what you did and attempted to do to me when I was far too young. THAT I know. And you know it too.” A third accuser, advertising executive Tiffany Bacon Scourby, came forward on Nov. 9, detailing a forced encounter with Piven in 2003.

It should be noted that Wisdom of the Crowd wasn’t breaking any ratings records. It premiered on Oct. 1 to 8.8 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating, but went fractional in the demo with its fifth episode. To date, it is averaging 7.4 million viewers and a 1.0 demo rating. Among CBS dramas, it only outrates Scorpion and MacGyver (both averaging 0.8 this fall) and fellow Sunday series Madam Secretary (0.7).

you can.....CanCan.....too......?!

That show was awful. If anything, Piven's presence kept it alive.

I know you'll want the DVD of all 13 classic episodes.

Piven is standing his ground. Issued a denial, passed a polygraph test and challenged his accusers to do the same.

Could be bluffing. Maybe time will tell.

I'm absolutely in favor of punishment after conviction, but not in the presence of unsubstantiated claims. This reminds me of the Joe McCarthy era.

In our society, innocent until proven guilty usually doesn't apply to assault to women or children. Especially children. Almost never any serious repercussions either when things are unfounded.
