Here is a personal observation.

I keep about 100 items in my Amazon cart, "saved for later" and every time I go to cart, there is alert if price changed since last time I was looking at the cart. I have been doing this for years, and when some price dropped significantly, I would also check camel^3 and if price was low enough, I could buy that item.

I used to get 3-4 such price alerts, and if for some reason I didn't check the cart content for a few days, I would get 10, 15, I think I even had 20 alerts at some point.

In the past years the number of price changes reduce significantly, and now I can go days without even a single price change.

Anyone else noticed this trend?

Yes. Very few changes to my "Saved for Later" items over the past several months.

Previously, I had the same experience that you had. Almost daily changes on some items. Some of the changes were quite large.

I have alerts set up with Camel. Last month I got an alert I set up almost a year ago, but I didn't want it any more.

I got sick of seeing one item that I bought regularly jump from $20 to $25 every couple of months. Discovered that I could order it from Chewy without the price shenanigans (so far).

I've found older items in my cart tend to be sold by fewer and fewer sellers and thus fewer fluctuations.
