Women go bad.

Liquor doesn't.

Until it's empty. Assuming you store it sealed, in a reasonably cool place, out of direct light.

As long as you keep the bugs out, have it securely corked, and keep it in a cool location, it should stay good for several years and stay drinkable for several decades.

I dunno, but my bottle of Glenfiddich that is only opened for 'special occasions' is 25 years old now. And the scotch had already spent 20 years in a barrel before that. I assume it's still good.

What can I say- I stopped drinking a long time ago, but never could bring myself to get rid of all the booze.

An open bottle is an empty bottle.

All this talk is making me want to crack open that sealed bottle of Lagavulin in the pantry.
One should never drink alone, I've heard. How 'bout if I ask the cats to join me in a toast-- milk for them and scotch for me?

If you and the cats aren't out on the floor by now, Phy. you can consider me drinking with you. I just paid some bills and I'm ready!

Good question-- I have lots of open hard liquor, some pushing 10 years.
Wine definitely only lasts a few weeks once opened.
