I still find it hard to root/cheer for overpaid athletes even if they are close-by and doing well. (Plus, I guess BSU students have to root for SOMETHING)

If a team is going to overpay an athlete, I would take Manning any day over 90% of any other cantidates out there.

I don't root for anything BSU, except when we set the record for the longest losing streak in div 1 football my soph year.

I love the Colts. Have for 15 years.

One team got Manning the other Leaf. I remember the surprise when the Colts didn’t pick Leaf first. Funny now.


These guys do make a lot of money, but they are also material to the company’s operations. While perhaps not CEOs, certainly they deserve, at least the franchise players, monies equivalent to a similar size company’s executive committee. They are paid a fraction of that.

One can certainly argue the relative merits of their product, but that goes for most corporations.

I have nothing against the Colts. They are the biggest chokers since the Bills lost all those Superbowls though. With all the talent they have had the past few years they should have won it all by now. I think this is their last shot though. They have a ton of guys who will be free agents next year and no cap money to work with.

Why does anyone care what they're paid. It's not your money? They're paid what it takes to keep them on their team. Otherwise they play for someone else. Where's the overpaid part?
