I was encouraging a friend to register here. When trying to do this she had problems with the visual auth code part...backwards letters and typing in the code, apparently correct, but being rejected by the registration process...mods? she tried a bunch of times but it wouldn't stick

I know they have been working on it trying to cut down on the mommyspamers
There were a few problems over the week end that have been cleared up

When did they try - it may be fixed but I'll alert them and get back to you as ASAP

We were on the phone last night trying to figure it out.

I sent them a message - you might have her try again today
(might not hurt to empty her browser cache just in case and check for a cookie)

If the problem persists they can get her registered manually I believe

I would recommend clearing your cache as well. None of the other registrants from the last week have reported any problem and i successfully reregistered a test account.
Please make sure javascript is on (or you wont see the letters) and i do not believe there are any backwards letters, at least as far as i have found by repeated reloads in different browsers.

There was a backwards "E" when I was trying to help her last night, that was on my screen so I know for sure....I couldn't figure it to be anything else. With her it just wasn't accepting her input of the letters she had.
