DP's post below inspired me. I love the pic. How about those that have a favorite photo post it here?

I have long admired this photo by Don McCullin, you can almost feel the air and smell the smoke.

Angkor Wat from 2005

Ha Long Bay from 2008. She lived on a house boat, as everyone does in Ha Long Bay. The children would paddle up to the tourist boats to sell snacks and drink.

in the far north, close to the Chinese border, Sapa. 2008 as well.

I'm an awful photographer. I only get lucky shots. All, I think, were taken with a Canon 1s iS P&S.

I'm not sure if this linked photo will work or not. It's a photo of the ocean at Orcas Island that I took a few days ago during a full moon. It's an iPhone photo, so don't critique the technique too much. I just think the content is good and it looks cool.

I'm strictly an amateur, and have no photo skills, but I like this one I shot a few years ago of my Pop at Old Mission Point near Grand Traverse, MI. That's Grand Traverse Bay behind him, that flows out to Lake Michigan.

I liked this one so much, that I had it blown up for a wall sized pic. It turned out great. (other than the can of root beer in his hand).

Mr. Lahey: Why don't you get a life Rick? Why don't ya go to community college like Julian here. Hey, I got a good idea. You could teach, livin' in a car and growin' dope 101.

Ricky: Hehe. And you can teach how to get drunk, get fired from the police force, become a... lousy trailer park supervisor that sucks, hangs around with a @#$%&' idiot that doesn't wear a shirt, and looks like a dick but thinks he looks good... 101.

Here is one of the sunrise behind Mt. Hood shot from Boring, Oregon that I captured a couple of years ago now. Still one of my faves.

You can. Once you've pasted the DropBox link URL into the "Insert image URL" here, change "www" to "dl" (that's d and lowercase L).

btfc, I hope that lens was long, and that grizzly was far away!

I have too many favorites to pick one or two, but here is a favorite fall-color album that I use as a screen-saver on my iMac:

I believe that's a black bear.

You may be right. I was just going by the color; he looked more brown than black.
