The Last 13" MacBook Pro... With a 'good' keyboard?

Would that be a 2016 vintage?

Or 2015?

"good" is a relative thing?

Im not a great typist, but the giant trackpad on 2016s would be a huge benefit. 2015 is tiny.

Some are saying the 2018 keyboard is not bad. Worth checking out.

"good" is a relative thing?

Geezeus fskin' Louise.

'Good' as in the pre-butterfly key kerfluffle that's been almost a daily complaint on the innerwebs for some time now?

Now do we have to quantify the relativity of time as well?

I assume it would be the Mid-2015. The last one with MagSafe and USB-A ports. As soon as you get to the USB-C/TB3 machines, you get the tiny travel keys.

I assume it would be the Mid-2015.

Thank you.

That makes sense. I think my 2015 MacBook was the first MB on the market with the tiny travel keys, and I thought the only one at the time, but I have no independent memory.

Some say...

The 2018 MBP's keyboard is the same as the 2017's, just a bit quieter, if you type slowly. So 'not bad' isn't good enough. I'll check it out but the 'digital' feel my MB's and similar keys is not what I want in a new 'Book.

Good as in "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

For every 1 complaint you see, theres 100 peeps not complaining that you will never see.

As a person who has never used a MBP keyboard, I might *love* the newer ones and hate the old... who knows?

People bought edsels and pacers and gremlins and pintos and mustang IIs and aztecs... =)

MagSafe forever.

MagSafe forever.

AAPL will never admit that they were wrong in dumping that technology.

Something tells the inner car guru in me a low mileage pristine Aztec might go for big $$$ over at BringATrailer.com. Maybe not in our lifetimes however...

I've been dealing with this since 2012. There are issues with the keyboard AND trackpad.

The 2012-era keyboard is fine, the mechanical trackpad is the best until the 2016/17/18 big ones.

The 2015 has a far inferior trackpad from my perspective that often glitches up from software issues too. Happens on several of our 2015 MBPR 13" models.

I found the 2016 MBPR trackpad the first that brings comparable utility and reliability as the mechanical trackpads.

The 2018 keyboard is nicely improved, I like it a lot.

No magsafe on the 2018 machine, but I plug mine into an external monitor most days (which also charges).
