Involuntarily, the theme for The Green Hornet started playing in my head.

How about this '51 Pontiac Chieftain?

How low can you go?

My dad almost bought a 67 Olds Toronado which was the sister car of the Riviera.
My mom talked him into a T-Bird instead.

I hope they gave it to you!

Fritz, you're slipping.

Is the suspension broken on that car? And "mag" wheels?

The best of the first gen is clearly the '65 (only year for the clamshell headlights, as intended from concept), those silly side "scoops" gone, and with Gran Sport option, with Ride and Handling package.

I think they look much better at factory height/ground clearance.

I'll vote for "restored" over "customized" every time.

Boat Tails were '71-'73. My brother had a '72 Riviera GS Stage 1. We had no idea how rare it was until it was long gone. Kills me to think about it to this day. Sunroof, powered buckets, Riviera-specific long console floor shifter. Auto load leveling suspension. Very rare car with even rarer options like the Max Trac and load leveling. 26 gallon gas tank too. Trunk you could hide a dead football team in.
