Sad. But I always felt a more maternal connection to Morticia Addams
(as done by Carolyn Jones), who became undead in 1983.

I thought she was already dead.
Literally.

That was one of my all-time favorite shows.

Plus I loved seeing her pop up in old noir films, looking glamorous and so un-"Lily"-like.

In the 50's she was one of the hottest stars.

I wonder if I can trace my fascination with some women who imbibe in the Goth style to these earlier childhood influences?

I don't even have to look at IMDB. She did a bunch of westerns before the Munsters, and she was one pretty gal.

She also played Moses's (Charlton Heston) wife in the Ten Commandments.
