old iPad (I think iPad 4 from 2012, iOS 10.3) on my iCloud account.

new iPad (latest model, 2018, iOS 12.?) on my wife's iCloud account.

We do have a common iCloud family storage plan to back up all devices.

Son wants to install Dragonvale on the new iPad and continue from where he is now on the old iPad.

I guess if I were to restore from the old iPad to the new iPad, that would be possible, but then the new iPad would be under my iCloud name and I would have to sign out and sing in again under wife's iCloud. Seems like a pain with the way iCloud and 2FA works.

Is there any other option?

interesting... I didn't use Game Center.

I need to look that up. so it should work if the iPads are under different accounts? do I need send an invite from one to the other or what?

Most games are linked to Game Center, some keep track through other means like Facebook
