Watched Roma last night on Netflix. Set in Mexico City in the 70s, beautifully filmed, well acted by the main character, a housemaid of indigenous descent. B & W, it makes use of the special natural light of Mexico. Anybody else see it. Whadja think?
Enjoyed it.
The pacing is slow; perhaps too slow for some here.
It's based on the director's own circumstances and experiences.
A slice-of-life of a strata not usually shown in such films.
Reminded me somewhat of Italian neorealism.
