Came across this a few days ago. Listening intently, I heard "that sounds like an excellent idea." Case closed. It's silly to suggest anything else.

Then I listened a second time. It's Yanny/Laurel all over again.

I hear "its an excellent f-ing idea" every time I listen to it.

I gave it half a dozen tries. I did not hear, it nor anything even close. I will now stop paying attention to this non-controversy.

I'm hearing both, changing every two or three times. I think we been had.

I heard it when thinking about it. My wife played it the next day and I overheard it and didn't hear any bad language. So I guess I only hear it when I force myself to hear the bad language.

Yesterday I listened to it multiple times and heard "that sounds like", but today I hear the other words. Then I starting hitting pause and play to hear it in short bursts and it changed back to what I was hearing yesterday.

I'm wondering if this one is more of a prank where they're randomly changing the file that gets served for the video, or if it might be because they're speaking so fast that there might be some sound samples skipped during playback due to connection speed or playback "quality" that changes what it heard.

No, as opposed to the Yanni/Laurel, for this one I can change what I hear simply by thinking of one of the phrases. No need to even change the pitch, just the phrase in my head.
