In the hospital!

I just couldn't make it to dialysis, so after missing several sessions, I figured that I better get to the hospital where they can better take care of me.
I'm in Mission Hospital in south Laguna, BTW.
No flowers please (allergies) ha ha!

Funny that you should mention "margaritas in DP Harbor" right now!
I have been going for dialysis regularly until now, but the c diff knocked me off my feet and I missed several dialysis treatments.
When I couldn't get to dialysis today, I knew that I had better get in to the hospital where I could get treated.
BTW, my doctor here is as pretty as the "margarita lady!"

I was typing my response to DP when they interrupted me to draw more "clean" blood ("ha ha!" c belt), so I'm a bit behind the posts.
No, not Hoag. This hospital is part of Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.

...but I have forgotten how to post a picture.
I used to post from my Flickr account, but they completely screwed that up.

I don't use a phone to read MacResource, but this may work.

Go to control center (located at the top and bottom of each page here).

at the bottom of the box on the left side of the control center page click on edit my files.

click on add file and navigate to the pic you want to upload.

I think control center > my files will take you to your uploaded images. Copy image location from the file link, or go the the image and copy the URL.

Or something very close to that…

  • Click on the tiny Insert Image URL icon (with the formatting buttons - it's a mountain with red sun)
  • Paste the image address into the dialogue box and click OK

Then preview your post to make sure the image appears.

You can also Control-click on the image name in the forum's Control Center>My Files to get a menu to copy the image link. I find this easier than opening the image.

Previewing a post with an image is a good idea, as they are sometimes much too big. You can adjust the image size that shows in post by adding "Size=###" to the code at the beginning. The range I typically find useful is 300 to 800. I have used whole hundreds, but the forum may accept integers (never tried it). You may have to experiment.

So the link would look like this, where you vary the "300" number to alter the size. I added spaces to break the link so that it would show as text, but note that there IS a space between the first "img" and "size". So what you add after the first "img" to adjust size is
(space)size=###, with the ### being replaced by something like 300 or 700.

[ img size=300]http : //img.com[ /img]

We're with you. Hang in there. I watched my 89 year old mom's color go from grey mid-day today (which my sister had complimented her on compared to how she looked in the hospital two days ago) to positively perky this evening. Tell the doctors to find some of that magic for you.

And on the topic of posting images, I'd love it if there were a direct method to do so. Adding a picture to "My Files" and then linking to it is clunky. I've never tried it from a phone. That part of using the forum isn't as user-friendly as could be.

Winston, I love hearing about your Mom's improvement!
Strangely, at 81 and having an 87 year old s/o, makes me realize that age is more related to impairment than years. If, the stressors that Mavis and I face can be reduced, I have little doubt that we can be robust again.
I can't tell you how much I want to lick my present health issues.
I do see posting the photo as a challenge, so if I feel a little better in the AM I will see what I can do to have it show up on line.
