multi hard drive firewire case

I'm looking for a multi-drive enclosure to house a couple of drives pulled from the retired sawtooth. Would prefer to be able to put four drives in it, but a two drive solution would be tolerable. No need for RAID capability. I do want something reliable that doesn't look cheap. I like the OWC two drive case, but as it can't be setup on Intel based Macs yet, I don't think that is an option. Any recommendations?

Huh? I have this drive enclosure:

Are you saying that it cannot be used with an Intel based Mac? Why not?

you'll pay a premium for the multidrive case. 4x single drive cases will be cheaper.

This is what I set up:

I'm looking to get rid of the quad IDE interface since it doesn't work well with my DVD burners and go for a pair of bridgeboards instead. The roll your own solution is quite nice though..

Oxford has not released the support needed to do firmware updates via the Intel Macs. We are not sure when that will happen and it's not something they will even release the source code on for us to do our own.

That's ok though..... Our Oxford924 SATA Enclosures Kit doesn't rely on firmware to change it's operational mode. All set by jumper for RAID Stripe, RAID Span, or non-RAID mode where you can use drives independently or use software to control RAID.

Conveniently plugs and plays FireWire 800, 400 and USB as well.

All of our enclosures work on Intel Macs... just that the Oxford912 PATA Dual-Bay enclosure does require firmware updates if you want to change from the default RAID mode. We've done that free of charge for our customers where needed....

This doesn't affect the single bay solutions.
