Had TWC for 15+ years, I think they became Spectrum (?)...they were okay, sometimes annoying yes but aren't they all. Spectrum is currently offering web only at $30/mo for 3 years, no contracts, 400mbps down. Free modem. Not sure about install fees but I could probably just tell them no way José and they'd install for free.

Anyone with or had Spectrum 100+mbps in recent months care to comment? TIA.

$30 gets me 55/15 from ATT. At least its DSL, so no shared connection like cable,,, but still, 400 is sweet.

Even if you only get 25% of that speed (ie 100 mbps), at $30 it is a good deal.

Comcast has 1 TB data cap. If you go over once or twice they close their eyes, but if you frequently go over, they start to charge you extra.

....good deal.....here the deal is $44 but only for 1 year.....then skyrockets to $69......

That is a really good deal. I’ve had the 100mbps plan for a few years and the speed is consistent 99% of the time. I’m currently on a 39.99 retainer plan for a year so 30.00 a year for 3 yrs is great. Spectrum offered a free 400mbps upgrade but they were going to charge 50.00 just to have someone switch it on at the box so I declined.

You must have better than average competition in your city. It's a great price, assuming they are reliable in your area.

Thats a good point -- and one of the big reasons I havent shopped around.

ATT DSL + DirecTV plan = unlimited net. Since I work out of the house with graphic files, Ive gone over several times. Always get close.

One aggressive marketer questioned my manhood after I said I was not going to commit myself to anything without discussing with my wife.

After we moved to a new abode, Spectrum could not locate my new address to start service. After a month with a bill but no service, I called to cancel and receive a refund, only to be berated for 45 minutes (no exaggeration) by the rep until I lost my cool and shouted back at him. At that point, he apologized and issued the refund.

A couple years later, I restarted service. I can't recall the procedure, which was well hidden at the time, but there is a setting somewhere on the website to put a stop to marketing. It worked. I no longer get unwanted mail or aggressive marketing phone calls.

I'd jump all over that, especially if there's no termination penalty.

Former Brighthouse now Spectrum here. $60 for 100 is best they will offer.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll give them my GV number, easier to avoid calls that way.

Right on all that. Google and ATT are their competition. I should see what ATT offers, though I despise them.
