No tacos leads to 911 call. Was calllping police justified?

Sounds suspicious. Maybe the real Taco Bell employees are tied up in the back while the place is being robbed.

"We're out of hamburgers. How about a cheeseburger, instead?"

My mind immediately went to the Olympia Grill and the one where they run out of cheeseburgers.

(BTW, it's spelled < y'all >.)

Should have called the non-emergency number. It would be a public service to alert them of the sad situation. Maybe the police could give the supply truck an escort.

Pregnant McDonald's employee slapped by customer because order 'was made wrong'

A woman was arrested on Friday after going behind the counter at a McDonald’s restaurant and slapping a pregnant manager in the face because the customer’s order “was made wrong.”

Hanson claimed the sandwich was unacceptable, as it was supposed to come with lettuce and mayonnaise but had nothing on it. She reportedly demanded a refund.

The manager obliged, but the Hanson then insisted on a new sandwich. When the mom-to-be told her the refund was granted in lieu of food, the irrational woman stormed into the McDonald’s, got behind the counter, and insisted she would make the sandwich herself.

She also raised her hand to the manager, who told police Hanson “got into my face and slapped me.”

That’s when her McDonald’s coworkers intervened, attempting to separate the women and making sure Hanson knew their manager was pregnant. One male employee even took a punch to the face while trying to break up the fight.

Instead of calming down, though, Hanson became vicious with her words, according to the New York Daily News.

“After we were separated, she told me she had bail money and didn’t care I was pregnant,” the manager told police. “She hoped I lost my child.”

Considering it's Taco Bell, I'd think it would be more appropriate to call 911 to report them for selling their "food" and calling them tacos....

“After we were separated, she told me she had bail money and didn’t care I was pregnant,” the manager told police. “She hoped I lost my child.”

I hope the attackers maintains that attitude during arraignment, that this goes to trial, and at sentencing the attacker still unapologetic.

It would be best if they ran out more often. After you eat my homemade Tacos you wouldn't want theirs anyway.

I enjoyed the story about a young boy calling 911 for help because he couldn't do his math homework (fractions) and the 911 operator explained it well to him until he got it.

adorable! audio recording [abcnews.go.com]

'Where was she when we were in school?'

That was absolutely a great exchange.

Ms. Bundy rocked.

The kid was stressed, and apologized.

WOW.

Well done, all around.

I wonder how terrific you’d feel about it if you were trying to get 911 to dispatch an ambulance because your kid was bleeding to death and the line was busy.

I'm certain the 911 operator ensured that other operators were available before spending time with the child.

But I see your point.

It is what it is.

I wonder how terrific you’d feel about it if you were trying to get 911 to dispatch an ambulance because your kid was bleeding to death and the line was busy.

Having actually spent time observing in a 9-1-1 call center, I estimate that probably 99.9% of those dispatchers understand triage and know what a slow day is vs a busy day.

So I still have a warm fuzzy feeling about that call.

You don't like that, and I don't GAF.

Hey, I've been there! (Not the part where I called police, though.)

It's pretty traumatic when I can't get my Taco Bell.

I have tried, but have yet to reproduce their steak soft taco supreme and have no faith that others' efforts would succeed any better.
