Snakes On A Plane--There's A Snake In My Car!

‘There’s a snake in my car!’: Dickson woman surprised by reptile passenger on Main St.

Connie Heard was driving on Main Street in Downtown Dickson Tuesday morning, when she felt something on her ankle.

She looked down. Then, threw her vehicle in park.

“There’s a snake in my car!” she yelled while exiting the Ford SUV.

The rest, she said, is a blur.

Her vehicle was stopped in the street where it hit a parked truck.
The police arrived and then Animal Control Officer Ricky Manley. And, of course, Craig Morgan came out of his downtown business to try and help remove the snake.

After Dickson Police Cpl. Ron Tilley spied the snake and Manley was able to grab the reptile with pole clamp and transfer it to a bag held by Officer Demonta Daniel.

Manley identified the over 2-foot long animal as a “rat snake.”

Good line. Would have been better if it was a deputy. The guy in the picture is the "animal control officer" not the deputy.

our animal control officers don't play dress-up like law enforcement.
