Any potential risk using this type of USB C Hub with 2018 Mac Mini?

I took delivery of my new 2018 Mac Mini last week. I've been looking at different options for connecting my USB 2.0/3.0 peripherals since I have 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports and only two USB 3 ports. I ran across a multitude of USB C hubs on Amazon.com and this one, in particular, interests me:

Are there any risks of damage to the port or the Mac Mini by using an inexpensive hub like this? (The reviews are very good for this particular one.) I'd mostly be using the USB 3 ports to connect my two inkjet printers and my Wacom drawing tablet. I'd, also, like to try to connect my second monitor using the HDMI port (it's a 23" monitor so it won't be restricted on the refresh rate.)

It seems like a great option but I don't want to damage anything!

Amazon reviews mean nothing. Check this HooToo hub out - it's well-reviewed by Wirecutter, a reliable review site.

I avoid any product made by a manufacturer that does not have its own website.

That's good thought. I did some checking and it turns out that HooToo (recommended by rj) is part of the same group as RAVpower so that carries some weight with me.

I doubt if it will damage a port. I would buy it.

I avoid any product made by a manufacturer that does not have its own website.

I've made an exception here and there, but I tend to abide by the same practice, especially if the product is on the higher end of the buy-in scale.

I thought I would follow up. I purchased the HooToo USB C Hub through Amazon. I've been using it for just over three weeks and it has worked better than I anticipated. I have two color inkjet printers and my drawing tablet connected to the USB ports and they've worked without any issues. I decided to connect a second monitor to my Mac Mini using the HDMI port on the USB C Hub. That has, also, worked better than I expected. (I assumed I'd run into some glitches.) I have even used the SD card reader built into the hub a few times and was pleasantly surprised by the speed. It's not as fast as my dedicated card reader but not bad at all.

Assuming this hub lasts, I am very happy with it.
