Cords, Auburns of the same era are sweet, but a nice bit of art on 4.

Those were the days.

1937: you mean a world knee deep into the depression, the rise of fascism in europe and asia, amelia earhart disappears, the hindenberg explodes, and oh, polio rates continued rising.

i just don't trust nostalgia they way i used to!

ymmv

ps-that is a fabulous looking automobile!

Letting a little Forum Cynicism and Buzzkill creep in?

Fortunately, with enough money, one can acquire a bit of nostalgia like the Lasalle (or my preference - a Cord or Auburn) without the era baggage, and bring it into an era of completely different but still similar if not the same baggage.

be well, rob.

True on all counts, but I suspect apocketfulofwry was referencing the next-to-last line of the theme song of All In the Family "Gee, our old LaSalle ran great" by quoting the last line "Those were the days".
