Installed a 480GB Aura N SSD in my daughter's MacBook Air in July. Now have the dreaded flashing question mark folder. Tried a PRAM and SMC reset with no results and Disk Utility in Recovery does not recognize the drive.

Any suggestions? Of course she didn't back up and ignored my advice on saving schoolwork to DropBox...

It sounds like she just received a life lesson.

I set my son's MBP to automatically back up because I knew he never would. I'll be setting up his Fiance's new MBA to do the same.

I bought an 480GB Aura N in August, it died a couple of weeks later. Unfortunately you have to pay return shipping and wait for a replacement, which has been fine.

is this the consumer grade or the Pro grade?

"N" is the cheaper of the two, so I guess that would make it the consumer grade.
