.....'Batwoman' and 'Nancy Drew'.......

Batwoman and Nancy Drew Snag Full-Season Pickups at The CW

......The CW’s girl-powered freshman class have cleared their first big hurdle: Batwoman and Nancy Drew have landed full-season pickups, just three weeks into their respective runs.

The network announced on Friday that it has ordered nine additional episodes of each series, bringing their Season 1 totals to 22 episodes apiece.

Averaging 1.5 million total viewers and nearly a 0.4 demo rating (in Live+Same Day ratings) over its first three airings, Batwoman currently stands as The CW’s most watched series while trailing only The Flash in the demo.

Nancy Drew (averaging 930,000 viewers and just over a 0.2 rating), meanwhile, is delivering a 39 percent larger audience than time slot predecessor All American, while delivering slightly better demo retention out of Riverdale.

With Live+7 DVR playback factored in, the shows’ demo numbers respectively swell 80 and 114 percent.

is this.....bat.....astic.....?!

I am a little surprised, I really struggled to get through two episodes of Batwoman and didn't bother setting the DVR for the third. It's averaging about 5 out of 10 on IMDB.

Nancy drew=Archie Andrews. Spin the wheel scripts larded with tiresome CW teen melodrama. If you are in the target audience, hope you enjoy the shows (all of them-every night-same times-same channel)

I hope that many years from now, all of the actors involved will joke about where their careers started.

Nancy Drew is not at all entertaining for me.

It's unusual for me not finish an episode of a program, but Drew was on such case.

I got through three episodes of Riverdale before I gave up.

Both are aimed at teenagers with nothing to offer grownups.

So far, Batwoman is ok and I'll watch a few more episodes to see if I want to keep up.

Her version of the Batmobile was an interesting choice, much better that the stuff Bale drove, if not tricked out

My wife and I barely got through one episode.
We haven't tried Nancy Drew yet.

I guess they're gonna go down swinging despite ever-decreasing viewership, but maybe their long game is to use this series as a shining example of the "Get Woke, Go Broke" mantra in action, especially if in the future SJWs start griping about lack of representation in programming- "Listen, we gave you everything you ever wanted in Batwoman and it tanked. Now go bother somebody else".
